We both wanna do a "live" kinda thing, like in the chatroom or something, but people wanna do some thread stuff. I say we do both to see what people think. We do 2 battles. And in the future, maybe the challenger will actually say whether they're challenging you to a thread battle or live. How about that?
I'm gonna ask Vegan to host this, make the thread for the thread battle, pick the judges, etc.
For the live battle, you're gonna have to give me the time and date, Albliteration, cause my schedule's all over the place. I'm working overnights this weekend. Just give me a few dates that you think you could have like 30 min and I'll tell you if I can do any of those. We'll go from there.
As far as a sub-forum or whatever, let's just see if we get enough threads going to make it worth it. Then we can ask for a section, no?
And I was thinkin that we could keep the judges anonymous, so that we don't have any issues with future judging and people taking things the wrong way. That only the host would know who the judges are. The only thing with that is that it would be difficult to get the judges' commentary on the battle, you know? But if we can just be straight with it, then we don't have to go anonymous. People just have to accept that it's just what the judges like better. And that way, we can hear about what they liked and what they didn't. They can just post in the thread and tell us why they chose one over the other. So we can try both ways, see what works better, I guess.

^ maybe the judges pm the host? so the host presents their comments and what not under anonymous... but that is if we decide to keep judges anonymous...

I'm down to judge anything, but I've been busy the entire week so far for once..Barely even had 20-30 minutes to spare today so were gonna get it in when I get the time for sure Gezus...I guess were just making threads in this sub-forum for the time being then?

Let's do it thread wise first to get use to everything, then we'll see how it goes from there. Also, whenever you're ready, we've got the judges set, find a time that you're able to work with & then post on the thread created saying "I accept" & we'll start the 24 hour battle my man.

so were battling through text but not through audio or video? im up for that, sounds easy enough. and im on a hotel computer and dont have much time left so i cant manuever through 7 pages of this, so sorry if i misunderstood this thread/idea. any more participants i can go up agaisnt? we might have to work around my schedule if we do though, cause im on vacation and all, but i get home on sunday.

lol, nah man. I didn't take it like that. Was just double checking that you didn't care what kind of rules and stuff we had. We gotta figure out how to do this live one.
And anyone have any thoughts on a standard for the rules? Any thoughts on how the first battle went? Anything that anyone didn't like about it? Boboulas, I'm guessing you're putting together some rules for this tournament, so maybe we'll just go off that.

i didnt like not getting a chance to flip a couple lines. we should figure out a way to get more rounds or else the person who goes 2nd is probably gonna win 90% of the time

HAHAHA. Don't worry, me and you know the truth about who's better. We could try rounds at 24hr intervals, or like give 12hrs to each person to post or something. I don't know, it might be better to figure it out on a battle-by-battle basis, depending on the people. They can factor in their time zones and figure out their schedules to come up with the times. I don't know.
p.s. just don't post so early to avoid getting your lines flipped. lol, I was planning on posting during the last few hours just cause I knew you would rip me if you had the chance to flip. But if both people just post near the end of the time limit, then it becomes more fair. Only problem with that is time zones, again. If the time limit is going to be a time where you can't get on the computer, it doesn't work. Maybe we could try sending lines to the host? And they can vouch that the entries were in on time, and then we can post them up later. I don't know, we'll see what Bob is cooking up.

i didnt like that there wasnt a chance for alblit to flip shit. i sort of wish we would have voted for a tie to see it continue... or that it would have went like 3 rounds.. like best out of three... but apparently undisputed wants to battle me and i dont feel like 3 rounds... not even 2 lol...
