I myself is from Western Malayo-Polynesia (Western Austronesia). My native homeland and tribe is called Bikol. I am of mixed Malayo-Polynesian Malay, Australo-Melanesian Agta and Spanish descent. I just want to know if there are any other Island People in this forum that listens to Immortal Technique and would like to discuss whatever...

Eh fosho Kia Ora, I thought that was a Ta Moko on that moon in your avatar, but it look a little obscure at first and I was a little skeptic. Now I'm sure what it is. Eh your iwi resides right above where Ngati Kahungunu is, anyways bro stay up...

My mum used to tell me that, although she was a white NZer. I have a big family back in NZ even some native relatives.

u probably do have some maori blood in you somewhere Bob, theres literally no full blooded maoris left in the world, we're all crossbreeds now lol, my grandfather on my fathers side was from irish descent I think, I got some scottish blood somewhere in the mix there 2.. Im not 2 sure

I think most people these days are a mixture of alot of different races, but who knows.. NZ is a small place n its all I kno.. its common around here 2 see say a samoan walking with his indian wife and their new born to meet his half japanese brother in laws welsh girlfriend if u catch my drift lol

if u ever get a chance u should come check out NZ, depending on where u go we're all pretty laid back here Smiley-grin

I'm sorry Dizfunktional but you're totally wrong! There are full blooded Maori in Aotearoa, I know because my nana is full blooded.. it's on her birth certificate! Obviously you listen to too much pakeha b.s. as many Maori do. Luckily they still have documentation such as Birth Certs to prove such things. You probably havn't seen one of these Birth Certs before hence the reason you are easily misled into the common beliefs of todays misconceptions. If you ever come across one of these Birth Certificates it will state each parent of the bearer as being a.. MAORI OF FULL BLOOD. Then the individual holder of that Certificate will have the words.. MAORI OF FULL BLOOD, below their name. My nana comes from a large whanau of 16 brothers and sisters who will no doubt also be full blooded. Many of the few remaining full blooded families usually grew up in remote parts of NZ, where inter-breeding amongst different races was not common.. these days called the wopwopz or back-blocks! One such place where my nana grew up is in the Aramiro valley (Waikato), commonly reffered to as the back-blocks of Aramiro.

However I cannot claim to be full blooded, and nor is this printed on my Birth Cert. Although my nana (mothers side) is in fact a full blooded Maori.. the man she married, my papa.. was not! And nor is my own father who hails from Tauranga Moana and has a very small portion of French blood.

Anyway awesome thread good to see someone acknowledge the Austronesian races!!

Polynesian-Austronesian all the way!
AOTEAROA (New Zealand) MAORI HARD..

Represent my tribes..
NGATI RANGINUI and WAIKATO TAINUI

WAIKATO TANIWHARAU, HE PIKO HE TANIWHA, HE PIKO HE TANIWHA!!
Waikato of a hundred chiefs, at every bend there is a chief!!!
