Anti Nazi demonstration in Sweden! - Seraph - 12-11-2011 01:59 PM
Me and a friend went to Stockholm to join in a demonstration against nazis that were having a march that same day!
I filmed some of it:
It was intense as fuck, cops all over the place with horses and dogs, fucking explosions and fire and riots etc.

Tell us more about the demonstrations?
Preferably in English. Swedish is not a particularly attractive language.

Well the shit hit the fan from the get go. Barricades were set up, tons of cops, there were maybe around 500 nazis and upwards of a 1000 - 1500 of us. Some of the activists messed with the cops and that ended as always lol.
Earlier in the day me and my friend were approached by four dudes asking us which group we belonged to. They had mistaken us for being nazis. I thought they were either cops in civilian clothes trying to gather information so or nazis, so I just walked away, but they kept following us and I prepared to fight.
They told us to leave, and then my friend looked the leader in the eyes and challenged him to a fight and he backed down. It then turned out they were on our side, so it was just a little mistake.
As the day progressed my crowd got louder and louder and explosions started going off and rockets started raining down starting some fires, bottles were thrown as we tried to get around the barricades to get to the nazis. You could literally feel the heat in your face from the rockets bursting into flames as they landed on the ground.
But there were too many cops so they just pushed us around all evening trying to pin us down.

The nazi march was held in memory of a nazi that was killed a few years ago, and they use that as an excuse to spread their shit once every year. Internal fights had weakened the nazi movement so this was a attempt to gather several groups under one banner, so to speak.

What the hell do you mean by that? The nazis are on the move and very active, what are we supposed to do, nothing? Us doing nothing pretending this shit will go away resulted in us having a racist party in our parliament.

didnt the league of nations in pre-WW2 doing nothing resulted in hitler taking over Austria and former Czechoslovakia ?
and how exactly active are the nazi's? widely known or creeping in the shadows?

Well, it's a party called the sweden democrats, and a few years back they were all nazis but as the years went along they tried create a better, clean cut image for themselves so as to better win people over with their "Sweden is under attack by the muslims" rhetoric etc, and thanks to the other parties just burying their heads in the sand they got into parliament.
This is their leader, Jimmie Åkesson...
