RE: growing up
Word to Chino and Younes. I had my heart set on being a cop when I was in high school, I was seriously about to go through with it... thought I'd major in criminology and later on hit up the Justice Institute, but shit happens and things change... changed my mind. I've decided I'm majoring in psychology and I wanna get into some sorta social work (not necessarily a social worker) but something along the lines of a counselor or a child/youth care worker. Still got a long way to go though and who knows what I'll end up doing. I'd love to work for a woman's shelter or something, I know quite a few women (fam/family friends) who have been abused and shit... so I could see myself doing something like that.

But there are no palm trees on the street,
and dishwater gives back no images

RE: growing up
Me too, I wanted to be In the S.W.A.T team then changed my mind then said I wanted to go to the army then I said naa, I'm going to be a cop, then I said I'm going to be a chef, then a psychology major then a doctor then I said I have no fucking clue and that's what I'm working on. I currently chose something so stupid, I said political science and comparative religion. (comparative religion being the something stupid) I'm thinking of changing to business. But seriously, I have no clue what I want to study.

RE: growing up
When I was young, I first just wanted to get by...live life and be happy. Do something where I can just work at home or whatever with my own skill, not some cubicle job. Then I wanted to be a game designer. Even now. Then I added music producer to that and I may as well add sociologist now. lol. I've always wanted to do multiple things at once. I could never just do one singular thing.

When I was young I wanted to be in the military, then I wanted to be an engineer, now I'm not sure if I don't know what I want to be or I just don't care anymore.

RE: growing up
I guess the point has now come when I am grown up, and my plans for life are still as vague as they were when I wasn't grown up. The future is too far away. At the moment I just want a new job. That and not dying are my main goals.

RE: growing up
When you're a kid you think the grown ups have it all figured out and shit is under control, and that you will join this group when you get older

Then when you grow up you realise that nobody has shit under control or figured out, and the generation below you looks up and assumes you do
