To give Lil Wayne some credit, although he seems to have become a sell out, he was once good & I didn't mind his earliest album "Guerrilla Warfare". I think KRS is just trying to stand on the middle ground between Hip Hop and mainstream Rap music if you know what I mean. Even if he isn't it's his opinion and he can say believe what he wants.

Sorry but I can in no way comprehend the fact that KRS have something positive to say about Wayne no matter how important he is to hip hop or how much he have done for it, I can't cope with that and it completly changes my opinion on KRS, call me ignorant, call me idiot, call me a hater I dont care, saying LiL Wayne deserves that title is like saying Israel only seeks the best for the palestinian people.

Best MC Alive doesn't really sound like his hot... I mean calling him that means that LiL wayne is better than: Immortal Technique, CunninLynguists, Brother Ali, MF Doom, Mos Def, Masikah, Slug, Vinnie Paz, R.A. Rugged Man, Kool G Rap, Rakim, The Narcicyst, Lowkey, Freeman, Hassan Salaam, Hell Razah, Killah Priest, Kamachi, Reef the Lost Cauze, Whole Wu Tang Clan etc etc, like just imagine the propotions of this fail... how can somebody like KRS say this, I think he must have been intoxicated by large quantaties of mushrooms when he said this...

How can KRS say that? its dumbasses like LiL wayne that makes people think that Rap can only be about hoes, guns n gangsta shit, many people I know hate hip hop bcuz of worthless dumbfucks like LiL wayne, I my self left rapmusic and hip hop for 1 year because the only Hip Hop I knew about was wack industry bitches like LiL wayne, T Pain, Akon and so on... thats until I discovered underground though, but to see KRS saying that appears to me as he wants to merge underground and mainstream or something, I dont want that, im here with real hardcore lyricism, that bullshit bubblegum party rap for 12 year old kids can stay over there... and I completly lost my belief in KRS to even fuckin grasp reality now a days.

did you watch the video? coz your taking it out of context. he says that he said to lil wayne's face that he was the dopest MC out. but at this point in the video KRS One is talking about mainstream rap and how they are all being scammed by their labels and how is a rapper like lil wayne in prison when supposedly he is worth millions...

also he clearly says quote "I told wayne to his face, he was the dopest MC out. MC. Not rapper." and goes on to say that he is good with his lyrics and his delivery.

honestly, i watched that whole vid and my respect for him couldnt go anywhere but higher. because there was so much shit that he talked about and revealed about shit and he was straight up with his opinions and so real and the fact that he is open to all types of hip hop. lyrics don't always have to be about politics, conspiracies, war, lies, government, etc. there is more to it and if ppl hate rap because of rappers like lil wayne, kanye and whoever else that choose to rap about simple shit that is common in mainstream, then they are (no offense) the stupid ones, for not looking for more of what matches their taste.

this kind of stuff happens in more than just hip hop. ppl hear music and if they dont like it they assume they dont like the whole entire genre just coz of that artist or that song or whatever else. so yea maybe its the artist's fault coz they not that great or their lyrics are about pointless stuff so the person thinks the whole genre is like that. so whatever, im standing in the middle kind of like KRS One and i really dont give a fuck coz i will listen to any damn song or genre that i want to listen too. and i wont listen to any damn song or genre that i dont want to listen too. its opinion and taste.

and Yes I agree, but you can't blame people for thinking that way about a musicgenre when its the only thing that really is promoted, btw Lil wayne teaches people to be materialistic, its a fact that Kids look up to theese cats and thinks that what they rhyme about and so on is the real happines in this life, atleast let the game be balanced between political rappers and bubblegum rappers. I dont like party hiphop because I dont benefit from it in anyway expect feeling that I in someway is being corrupted.
