What is the point of (your)(our) life?
Ever wonder what is the point of life? Not in a suicidal way like "Why am I living?" but as a serious legitimate question. What is the point of (my) life? What is the point of (your) life? What is (our) purpose?
It's something I always wanted to discuss. Personally, at this moment - I don't feel I have a purpose in life. I just live for the moment trying to be happy one day at a time. RE: What is the point of (your)(our) life?
I was hoping for a much deeper conversation LOL.
The point was basically to describe why you feel you are here in this world and if you don't know how do you maintain and similar conversations. Of course life is what you make it. But I'm trying to get people to think bigger here. Or maybe I just suck at starting deep convo threads. ![]() Screwed and Chopped mixtape out now! - The Untold Story - Chapter 1: Struggle and Pain Ask me about it or google search DJ Seville Datpiff |

But my question to you is when your cup gets filled with poison and other negative things what do you think of it? Do you just accept it as a norm or try to do something about it? ![]() Screwed and Chopped mixtape out now! - The Untold Story - Chapter 1: Struggle and Pain Ask me about it or google search DJ Seville Datpiff |

RE: What is the point of (your)(our) life?
It's 2 in the morning at the time of this post and I can't sleep again. I always wanted to start a convo about this type of stuff. I guess it intrigues me what others think about the way people perceive issues such as this one.

RE: What is the point of (your)(our) life?
well i mean. if you think about it. if you limit life to an objective then life would be no more than a dear curse of burden, no?
what good will it be to find out what yours or my purpose in life is . have you read about buddhism and the origin of suffering ? it will make you think twice about metaphysical questions . ill quote a bit for you: The Buddha was sitting in the park when his disciple Malunkyaputta approached him. Malunkyaputta had recently retired from the world and he was concerned that so many things remained unexplained by the Buddha. Was the world eternal or not eternal? Was the soul different from the body? Did the enlightened exist after death or not? He thought, 'If the Buddha does not explain these things to me, I will give up this training and return to worldly life'. He put these questions to the Buddha who replied, "Now did I ever say to you that if you led a religious life you would understand these things? It is as if a man had been wounded by an arrow thickly smeared with poison, and his friends, companions relatives were to get a surgeon to heal him, and he were to say, 'I will not have this arrow pulled out until I know who wounded me, of what caste he is, what his name is, whether he is tall, short or of medium height, what colour his skin is, where he comes from, what kind of bow I was wounded with, what it was made of, whether the arrow was feathered with a vulture's wing or a heron's or a hawk's…..' Surely the man would die before he knew all this." "Whether the view is held that the world is eternal or not, Malunkyaputta, there is still re-birth, old age, death, grief, suffering, sorrow and despair - and these can be destroyed in this life! I have not explained these other things because they are not useful, they are not conducive to tranquillity and Nirvana. What I have explained is suffering, the cause of suffering, the destruction of suffering and the path that leads to the destruction of suffering. This is useful, leading to non-attachment, the absence of passion, perfect knowledge." Thus spoke the Buddha, and with joy Malunkyaputta applauded his words. my Z just got a new exhaust bitches. |

RE: What is the point of (your)(our) life?
Yeah, you're right that's why I'm a free spirit and it's hard to contain me. I couldn't do a 9-5. I don't like consistency.
Just to see different viewpoints. For example, my friend is much more careless and feels everything happens for no reason. It just happens. Me personally, I feel that everything happens for a reason whether or not we know the reason right away. I guess it's just like religion. Why care to know about another religion when you feel yours is right? But we already know the answer to that... By the way, nice quote on Buddah. Really makes you think. ![]() Screwed and Chopped mixtape out now! - The Untold Story - Chapter 1: Struggle and Pain Ask me about it or google search DJ Seville Datpiff |

RE: What is the point of (your)(our) life?
Our purpose is really to have sex, keep the population going. All we're meant to do is survive. That's the reason we react the way we react when threatened, the primitive part of our brain takes over, tell us to fight, run or whatever. That's why you get certain reactions to women, the "animal" in you is telling you "you need to have sex". Humans are just animals, "intelligent" animals but animals nonetheless.
But if you wanna give your life some meaning then this is what I would say the meaning is; to enjoy life, to live it to the fullest and to leave the world a better place than it was when you were born |
