RE: Vegetarians
Lifelong vegetarian here. It is very easy to do. It is extremely healthy. Most meat these days is processed and terrible for you. Just make sure you get protein.

RE: Vegetarians
I don't get the arguement that of "I don't eat animals because I believe that animals are equal to humans". You may believe this, but animals eat other animals as well. So why is it okay for a Lion to eat an antelope, but it's not okay for me to eat a cow?

RE: Vegetarians
I never preach my beliefs to anyone, but I can tell you for a fact that my veganism is far from a "dietary choice." That's quite condescending and undermining of the message behind most vegans/vegetarians. It's equivalent to me saying "well Tech's political beliefs are just his personal choice, it doesn't mean anything to the rest of us." My veganism is born out of revolution and change toward the corrupt system of the meat industry and the unethical treatment of animals. I love Tech, one of the realest rappers in the game and on-point with almost all of his political knowledge, but I think he's off-base in Beef & Broccoli and clearly not understanding the concepts behind it.

I enjoy meat, but it's a revolutionary stance I took to give it up for the greater good of the planet and people. Have any of you ever watched any documentaries on the meat industry or food industry in general? Food, Inc. for example.

The B12 and protein arguments are ridiculous. With the amount of beans and various sources of protein, I guarantee I get more than the average person. With B12, there are also many ways to get it including eggs. I'm lactose intolerant, but eggs are one thing I still enjoy once in a great while. Not to mention it takes YEARS for a B12 deficiency to develop and it's extremely rare that it does.

Keep in mind what keeps you healthy is a balanced diet. You think the diet of a typical American is balanced and healthy? That's why I love people who condescend when they ask about my veganism and tell me I'm not healthy and I need protein yadda yadda. You think these Mcdonald's eating motherfuckers are healthier than me because they consume a Big Mac and I eat okra gumbo? Bitch please! Sure, some vegans dismiss meat and eat oreos and shit all day, that's not healthy, but eating a balanced vegan diet is healthier than eating a balanced carnivore diet. That's proven medical science.

The leading causes of death in the United States are cancer, heart disease, diabetes, and obesity. The traditional American diet, poor nutrition, malnutrition, smoking, and drinking cause a majority of these diseases. Read ANY journal of medicine or study by any respected scientist and it's always the same conclusion.

Over time, the consumption of meat has been linked to diseases such as colon cancer, heart disease, high-blood pressure, and increased negative cholesterol. The longer meat sits in your body and digestive tract, the more bacteria and free radicals build up. This build up leads to cysts, constipation, bowel troubles, polyps, and has been linked to strokes, heart attacks, and clogged arteries.

All of these problems can be prevented and almost all of the time cured by a healthy vegan diet. You don't have to be a vegan to be healthy, but eating a balanced vegan and organic diet is optimal for good health and longevity.

RE: Vegetarians
I swear I'd be vegan if it wasn't for the fact that British beef and pork tastes so damn good.

RE: Vegetarians
I've never been vegetarian, but I've thought about it for a long time, probably over one year. The main problem that I thought of would be like: I CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT BOSNIAN FOOD WHICH IS THE BEST SHIT EVER (and most of it contains meat)

But exactly 4 weeks ago I woke up and was like, I'm gonna try this shit and try to be vegetarian. But if I eat out or if I am on vacation I will eat meat, but I will avoid it as much as possible. That was my plan.
After 2-3 weeks, I already felt much better and when my grandma offered me bosnian food which I never say no to, I actually said no.
My plans are now to only continue being a vegetarian as I feel much better, I feel much more alert during the days and mornings (I usually always sleep during the days a bit but now it only happend one time in 4 weeks). And I sleep much better during the nights now (dw, I never had sleeping problems before).

A documentary that made me think much about it was Food, Inc.

If anyone got other good documentaries similiar, please share.

RE: Vegetarians
Semi-vegetarian here, if that holds any weight anyway. lol (Albeit, I was vegetarian for a few months)
I don't eat processed meats/poultry, always buy fresh chicken when I wish to eat it and prepare it myself... the smell of processed meats and poultry make me feel nauseous, in all honesty.
At home, meat and chicken would be an integral part of my diet (insofar, as getting a healthy balance of protein was concerned), but now that I live by myself, I don't really care to eat it as often, per say.

Also, Alex I don't necessarily feel that cutting out ALL meats/poultry and such even needs to be compliant with what we define as "healthy". For instance, you should really just be cutting back how much you intake daily, weekly etc. Lastly, you can't say no to grandma's home cooking, that's abhorable man.

To love is to suffer.
To avoid suffering, one must not love.
But then one suffers from not loving.
Therefore, to love is to suffer.
Not to love is to suffer.
To suffer is to suffer.
To be happy is to love.
To be happy, then, is to suffer, but suffering makes one unhappy.
Therefore, to be unhappy one must love,
or love to suffer, or suffer from too much happiness...
I hope you're getting this down.
