To bad the UN's directives don't take in to consideration who you take territory from. They simply mandate that territory cannot be acquire through war. End of story.

....Oh wait, there's also the little fact that when those Arab countries "waged war" on Israel, trying to "destroy" it, they never stepped into legal Israeli territory, they restricted themselves to what was mandated by the UN as Palestinian territory. Something that warmongering assholes who like to pretend that Israel has the "right to defend itself" against rock-throwing children (and their older brothers and cousins who eventually turn to rockets and suicide bombs after decades of oppression) don't wanna tell you. I'll give this to you though, the Israeli ministry of Foreign Affairs is a pretty good source. Their website is where I found the timeline for the Gaza massacre of 2008-09, where they specifically stated that Israel broke the ceasefire, that Hamas/Palestinian attacks were retaliatory, following incursions by the IDF. I wonder how many times the Guardian has expressed this view, that Israel broke the ceasefire, you know, considering their unbiased nature.
