Go 4-6 rounds? Keep it short till we see that people wanna go longer. Or if it's live we can go by time. 1 minute, 2 minutes, whatever. The threads can be used for the challenge, chatroom for the battle and then copy paste it to the thread once it's done (the host's responsibility?). Give at least a couple days from challenge to battle to see if we can get some voters lined up, host and spectators. Maybe to make it as simple as possible, first one to volunteer to host for a particular challenge?

And no coin toss, so challenger goes first?

Yeah, chat's doing good now for me. Sounds good to me. Challenger going first seems cool with me. And the 4 liner-battles seems cool as well. That's until more people start getting in. Good to see people putting thought in this.

RE: The IT Forum Rhyme Battle
Wait, you saying 4 lines too much or too little? Plus, if we do it live, we can do a time limit instead if that's better.

For the voting, we could do just add a poll to the thread after it's copy-pasted (if we do it in the chatroom). If we want judges, we pick them, choose them, whatever. There may only be like the 4 of us. HAHAHA. so the 2 who aren't battling have to judge. If there's places like that one link then there's gotta be some kind of standard way that people do it. We could build off that.

RE: The IT Forum Rhyme Battle
On most forums, people just start a thread saying like "Lialls v shakur420" and in the first post they put how many 'bars' and how long you have to write them, but the opponent has to check in first so the battle's official.

Ex:

Thread title: Lialls v shakur420
First post (by thread creator): 10 bars, 24hours.
Second post (the opponent): Okay, lets do this.

or

Thread title: Lialls v shakur420
First post (by thread creator): 10 bars, 24hours.
Second post (the opponent): Can we just do 8 bars in 12 hours?
Third post (by thread creator): Yeah, that's cool.

Then the time starts ticking. Meh, i don't know.
