often mulled this over, after a long existentialist hour alone with my thoughts. the answer is that people would be sad, my closest friends and my family would be devastated, and i value their happiness over mine. and suicide is the choice of cowards, emo kids, and genius badass motherfuckers like hemingway, don't feel bad.

Why not to do it: If you value your own life

Why to do it: Seeing a lack of meaning/value in life, or thinking it a better alternative to hardship you think you are about to go through (loneliness, shame, pain) that is usually brought about by depression

We're pretty selfish wondering "Why do we have to die". It's amazing that you're even alive, think about all the trillions of chances throughout history all the way from the first split cell to lizards to mammals, monkeys and humans. All those animals that were eaten, cutting off their blood line. Imagine a few million years ago some natural disaster killed a little lizard. Boom, that would have been you and all your ancestors to the point gone. Think of the generations we have been mammals, all those trillions of sperm that didn't happen to reach the egg in time. Perfect timing...just....It's amazing

it would be easier if you gave reasons not to kill yourself. you get lost in the monotony, the droning depression, the twitching anxiety, but one day you stop and wonder why? and you can't answer that fucking question.

suicide is an egoist act and often very justified. but considering those around you, only a coward would have his mom crying for a few years because he could numb the pain and keep on moving. coward would also describe all those who kill themselves so they don't have to deal with life consequences. suicide is cowardly, not brave, because eventually life is worse then the unknown. try not to think, keep moving. stay in one place and you're get caught in the cogs.

my category emo kid" was more dry humor than anything, pain and self-harm is not confined to a bunch of kids all wearing the same clothes, feeling the same thing, and listening to the same music to be non conformists. i'd put anybody who has had a shitty enough life that the pain overwhelms their sense of altruism. like alan turing.

but then there are dopeass thinkers out there like hunter s thompson who are brilliant enough to kill themselves. i'm not nearly that intelligent. i'll keep on with my mundane existence. and then there are people like eyedea who probably died of a opiate overdose; they just self destruct. i probably fall into that last category.

how would i go out? this seems tempting, but i wouldn't want to upset those around me. hire a hitman maybe so my friends don't blame themselves? car accident? jumping off a building has a certain adrenaline appeal, but then i'll be like this fucker



probably would just take 15 hits of lcd and jump off a cliff in the middle of nowhere. yeah... but people need me and love me much to my dismay so that will never happen. hitler lived the life.





most of my friends have contemplated suicide. talked them through it. i'm not going to tell you (generic you, not referring to anyone specifically, just if you happen upon this) not to kill yourself, in fact i might recommend it. but if you just want somebody to talk to, pm me on here or if we are friends on facebook, chat me there. i can be someone to bounce psyches off. but i'm not going to tell you to sniff the flowers. fuck the flowers. fucking thorns all over.
