Despite his pro-capitalist politics, Pinker is a great scientist and a brilliant mind. I have his book, "The Better Angels of Our Nature: Why Violence Has Declined," and it's a magnificent book with loads of hard scientific data to back up his claims. I'd highly recommend everyone here to pick up a copy for yourselves.
