Protestors lining the pockets of Time Warner
Read this earlier and it made me laugh...
Apparently sales of V for Vendetta masks have jumped 179% on Amazon since the Occupy demonstrations started in London, the profits of which all go to time warner lol talk about selling you the revolution http://www.saveamericafoundation.com/201...tta-masks/ For those interested I hear Che tshirts are also available at Gap

RE: Protestors lining the pockets of Time Warner
lolllll Time Warner toohahaha. The worst.
The mask strategy has just failed. Dammit ! Just when I thought it was getting somewhere. I suppose its back to the good old fashioned black and red bandanas - that's if they're not made by kids working in a sweatshop somewhere. |

RE: Protestors lining the pockets of Time Warner
LOL
I find it pretty ironic that people actually wear those masks to show that they're trying to rebel against something. |

This is a shame. It's down to someone to bootleg them.

LOLOLOL
Although it is pretty hard to buy any mask and not support some big corporation. In fact, pretty much anything you buy to use for the protests will support big corporations. I imagine cardboard and white paper signs went up in sales. Not to mention warm clothing and sleeping bags. lol #GOAT

RE: Protestors lining the pockets of Time Warner
Yeah, they better not buy coffee while they're out there either. Or food. No public transit considering they're protesting against their government's financial system. And forget about using the sidewalks, those things were built by corporations contracted out to the city. If they wanna keep it real, they have to live like hermits in the forest, use busted old Nokia phones they buy at garage sales and dress like Kurt Cobain. If they wanna keep it real...

RE: Protestors lining the pockets of Time Warner
Whats the point of protesting if you can't get sweet photos to post up on your facebook so everyone can see that you are protesting. What do you think I do this shit for? Its for the hipster girl poonany that i'm raking in right now.

RE: Protestors lining the pockets of Time Warner
Maybe they're buying V for Vendetta masks because it fits in with the movement, with the idea of "everyone". I don't fucking know, does it really fucking matter? You think Starbuck's sales around my work haven't gone up this weekend? You think people are going there cause it's "cool"? lol. Who the fuck are you to decide what the correct form of protest is for others, and what commitments they should make, what things are "essential"? You come out in a ski mask, you'll get arrested. A Halloween mask seems like a better choice, no?

RE: Protestors lining the pockets of Time Warner
Exactly what comes to my mind. They will attack this - and anything else - however they can. I don't find it funny that no matter what we do, we're involved in the very power we fight against. That shit's not humorous to me, it's depressing as fuck.
