Protest essentials

I'm hoping to build a list for people to know what essential items they should bring to a demo, rather than just a placard reading "i hope you read my sign"

So far i've got:

Water
Masks (or something able to adequately conceal your identity)
Protective clothing
Bust cards (cards with details of a good solicitor)
Spare pair of clothes
Gloves
Backpack (to carry all the shit above)

Anyone else got any good suggestions of what to add to the list

Please do not blame me if you get caught with the last two! They are only suggested if you plan to stay out of the way of the police the whole time - and not get kettled. Which if you have half a brain, you won't.

Protective glasses.. might look stupid but you'll be glad to have them when the teargass gets shot.

A good pair of shoes, when you gotta stand all day or get the fuck outta that place you sure as hell can use some good shoes.

made so it would fit inside a transit van so could be a width of car or so, most the costs would be body armour , would be like a trolley pushed from behind with some slits in to see forward, could even have a little side protection also so then u could only get shot from behind where the masses of protestors would be.

Or you could make some riot kind of sheilds layered with the body armour so u each person with them hide behind it protecting them selves and the others out of line of site of the shooters.

Black Long Sleeve shirt (with a thick under shirt for less pain when you get beat...)
A Black Backpack.
A Rag around your face with your eyes exposed.
Water.
