News Sites?
Not sure if this has been posted before but I was hoping I could get together a list of News sites that people use.

I've been using http://www.rawstory.com for a few weeks and was wondering if there were a few more good ones?

RE: News Sites?
DemocracyNow.org
one of the BEST news sites I've ever come across, lol, obviously off the 'mainstream radar' though. Noam Chomsky and Norman Finkelstein are regulars on the show.

PrisonPlanet.com
Pretty good site, lol, if you don't mind the rhetoric.

Guardian
As far as 'mainstream' media goes this is probably the best you're gonna find.

Reuters
Quote:I've come to notice that since none of their articles are longer than like 4 paragraphs (if that), there usually usually isn't much space for a lot of opinion (hidden between the lines, like most other outlets). The articles are pretty straightforward as far as the main topic. Almost just like "extended headlines", because they don't really go in to any type of history (in-depth, at least) when they write about something. I still wouldn't call them "un-bias", but I have to admit that I check Reuters a couple times a week and have their headlines posted on my google homepage. Better than any other "mainstream" garbage that makes me want to punch someone.

RE: News Sites?
BBC is the best mainstream site imo, they do have some of the best international journalists in the world.

And is the most watched news show.

U SERIOUS???. Racist, ignore-the-hard-facts BBC?? That's the 'best mainstream news'???

I mean, don't get me wrong, they're leaps beyond CNN and Fox but, man, even our Canadian news is more impartial than most British news reports - including BBC.

I search a lot of news sites for articles to use as references to smash dumb-motherfuckers who like to pretend what they're told is the truth. I usually save the pages and have quite a collection and very few of them are from CNN, Fox or BBC, simply because to use something as a reference you need to find something that displays a level of impartiality, and those 3 just don't have it. Along with The Times, CBS, NBC, Al-Jazeera, CBC, the Star. They all hold very obvious biases when reporting on certain subjects.

When it comes impartial reporting, the Guardian is probably regarded as the best (lol, maybe not by the masses, but by scholars, Human Rights groups, etc.)

A lot of the time I disagree with the 'tone' of an article (in the Guardian), but they usually include a lot more facts about all sides of an issue that is otherwise one-sided in the rest of 'mainstream' media. Well, that's been my experience, anyways. BBC is just as bad as CNN, just a different 'color' of the same fake-ass rainbow.

Wierd, ive heard people say the exact same about BBC.

What have they done thats racist?

They covered alot of important stories very well such as the invasion of gaza and iranian elections.
