New Jedi Mind Tricks Album
Just got this of Vinnie's facebook comment on his own picture
http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1...1175600689 That they are working on a new album called "Violence Begets Violence" here is the message:"you can start to spread the word, the new JMT is called "VIOLENCE BEGETS VIOLENCE" ... and don't forget to cop SEASON OF THE ASSASSIN!" Shit I hope its something like VBD and Servants in Heaven, Kings in Hell... "The government is in the wrong, and this is the chief cause of the persevering opposition of the Indians, who have nobly defended their country against our attempt to enforce a fraudulent treaty. The natives used every means to avoid a war, but were forced into it by the tyranny of our government." - Major Ethan Allen Hitchcock on the Second Seminole War. "Men should either be treated generously or destroyed, because they take revenge for slight injuries - for heavy ones they cannot." - Niccolò Machiavelli |

I liked "A History of Violence" as well....Had a couple classic tracks imo...But I don't like this title at all, sounds retarded to say the least....

Yo, thanks for posting this. I couldn't find anything, couldn't access the link you posted and couldn't find anything on his page photos. But this is sick. I can't wait.

RE: New Jedi Mind Tricks Album
Does anyone think JMT fell off hard?
I really couldn't sit through anything past Legacy... They didn't seem as inspired as everything preceding, in my opinion. I will give this a chance tho and hope for the best, Stoupe is most definitely a Master at his craft, to a level that puts most active producers to shame. Vinnie is a huge boxing fan, and I see a parallel in his rap style to a young fighter aging. He doesn't come at you as he used to, but he still knows his style well and performs it to a T. He used to say shit that could make you think for weeks tho... I might just be feeling nostalgic. Have seen them live in Los Angeles and Vancouver, in L.A. Stoupe actually was there, which is rare, cat is pretty reclusive. If they come to town i'm sure to go and enjoy the show, shits go crazy, moshpits and all. Saw him here in Vancity with R.A. the rugged man and he had to stop the show... he was like "yo, i've seen some crazy shows, but that dude just punched a bitch in the face!". right behind me. Vinnie was an amazing professional, very nice to the fans, hanging out signing shit after. I don't know, on the other hand, if I'd buy any JMT cd that comes out. Last CD I payed for was AOTP, forgot the name, like 2006/07, and that was a bad economic decision. save a couple bangers, Boo, fuck paying that ridiculous amount of money for a few good tracks. Morning Star/DNRX "...I'll throw in a thesis that'll make scholars throw in their towels. Stab you with trowels and cement a new temple...oh god can it be that it was never so simple?.." http://www.myspace.com/ninjastarofthemorning <-Complex thought pattern rap. http://www.myspace.com/thecairobeats <--- Killer beats available. |

RE: New Jedi Mind Tricks Album
I think their strongest albums are Violent By Design and Servants in Heaven Kings in hell. The rest, i own, but i don't listen to as much as those two. I don't think they fell off, i think they're just going through a phase where each is concentrating on their own solo thing. Vinnie Paz just released his Season of the Assasin, which was fairly dope to me. I bump that.

RE: New Jedi Mind Tricks Album
I agree with this guy^ but each album is different...Legacy of Blood was when JMT made a transition to be "more" hip hop and concentrate on gangster but smart and historical rhymes (apart from The Psycho Social where it was all conspiracy)...Visions of Gandhi was that christian bashing cd I love to play
and if anyone didn't like Death Messiah and didn't feel that its one of Vinnie's best songs needs to stop listening to Jedi Mind period....Trail of Lies too...
