RE: Mililtary path
Whatever course you decide upon, there is always someone to tell you that you are wrong. There are always difficulties arising which tempt you to believe that your critics are right. To map out a course of action and follow it to an end requires courage

now where did we go off calling each other names? i'm asking you clearly how would i kill another person mentally?
it really doesn't make any sense to me since i'm the one who is benefiting off of the military i didn't say i wanted to be in the front lines i'm saying if i join the marines i don't have to be in the front lines they have other jobs for me if i do computers or what ever where i live i wouldn't get as far and i am really into traveling it would be nice to go over seas for once... ![]() Credit goes to Gezus for making me this sign

RE: Mililtary path
right what i meant by - could u "handle" killing another person, mentally, whether child, woman or man" or would it be on your conscience" - if u killed a guy, could u live with it kinda thing or will it be on ur mind all the time, u know living with regret, if u get me??
now that i under stand that u dont want to be in the front lines that ^^^^^wont matter and if u want to do the other jobs like the computers or engineering etc etc i reckon u should do it and good luck with it man

RE: Mililtary path
naw man we both had a misunderstanding at first you wrote "could u handle killing another person mentally whether child, woman or man" i thought you said how could i handle a person killing them mentally ,i was like what i don't think the military teaches you that... but you forgot to add the punctuation since you forgot i was a bit confuse but the answer to that question is... i'm not really sure yet i have not killed anyone so i don't know how to respond to your question but i could answer this if i had a someone i love so much and they were murdered i would hesitate to get my vengeance and i don't think it would bother me if i succeed....

RE: Mililtary path
The only problems with the Marines or the Army is that you will have a higher chance of being killed, coming back home disfigured or mentally unstable. I hear you on this 100%. Let me tell you how the military is, everybody gets payed the same and gets the same benefits for the most part depending on your rank, marital status, if you have dependents or not, where you get stationed, where they are sending you off to and what kind of bonus you signed for regardless of how long your enlistment is. The thang is some branches got it way better and easier than others. For example an E1 in the Army or Marines might die, get seriously injured and go through more hardship within the first few months of being out in the field, while someone an E1 in the Navy would have it way better advanced up to E5 plus BHA and other pays within the 4 years of enlistment while having it good and put up with less crap. Like my Army buddy always say, in federal or government jobs you have 1 person working and 5 people standing around complaining. Check this funny Navy commercial and videos...
The videos exaggerates a little bit and are corny, it's mostly true for the most part and pretty accurate. But you could kind of see my point and this will kind of give you a little taste of the Navy. If you want to check out other videos on the military they are all over the net. Plus if you want to travel the Navy will allow you more to do that than any other branch except maybe in the Air Force. I was told in the Navy you have fun. I'm not trying to recruit you into the Navy or other branches but I just want give you some ideas, the choice is totally up to you. AS far as being a bad ass you don't need to be in the military to prove your masculinity. Get into the Khmers fighting arts and you'll do as well. Video games wise, in the Navy boredom is a mug, playing video games is pretty common on a ship and people spend a lot of time playing as much as they talk $h!T. They would play video games off work, during work and even while exercising. When it comes to women, not all are beautiful onboard a ship until you've been out to sea for too long, but there always a hand full that are bombshells, top notch and 10s. When it comes to port calls, there are always plenty of women. Japan have some cooperative Haponesas and I even heard of a place called Fukuoko few hours away from Sasebo, and Tokyo being off the hook. Korean girls, I don't know much, just watch out from them so called Juicy Girls. Since that your into Asian women in Hong Kong, Thailand, Singapore, Australia, Japanese tourists in Guam and Huaii are all over the place and if your game is tight enough for them you are in homie. There other places too but these are just some examples. For education you can take collage courses and finish up to a degree while in the service, but its not always easy and not impossible at the same time. The Navy and Air Force is the best way to go for education. It's easier, more possible, youl have more time and not have to worry too much about dodging bullets and IEDs. Once you get out the new GI Bill will give you money of E5 pay with BHA that comes out to about if not a little over $2,000.00 a month for 2-4 years and you still canqualify for financial aid racking in extra dough. You will also get your benefits if your a veteran, if your in for 20 and retired you get more. This sound good and it is but there is always a catch. If you don't mind putting up with BS from your superiors, don't mind questioning, working physically hard, dealing with high amount of stress, being gone for a long time from home, or if you can handle the truth about the war and dealing with loss of life on both the offensive and coalition, then you will be alright. Matter of fact many people in the service envy civilian life and would rather get a Dishonorable Discharge of some sort than put up with the Military life or finish their terms. The Military is not for everybody and from what I know people ended up learning this the hard way. Also racism, ignorance and racial stereotypes are a daily thing, but most of the time its done indirectly or not openly. I could also suggest to talk with veterans, military families or people friends with someone in the service, read about it, check out youtube vids, there are plenty of resources out here. Eh I could tell you more but like I said it is all up to you. Let me know if you got any more questions. By the way do you know a family by the last name Pel whose both Khmers and Chinese up in the LBC that had a son who was in the Navy stationed on the USS Ronald Reagan (CVN-76)? ![]() TOA
