RE: Maybe taking Vacation to Scotland.
For real, there's a lot castles (or the remains of in some cases) around the coast, particularly up north. Edinburgh's decent for tourists. Edinburgh Castle, Princes Street, boring art galleries and all that. I'd avoid Dundee. There's nothing to see there of any interest in all honesty. Unless you wanna meet some Trotskyists. There's the museum of transport in Glasgow and some other museum but it's name slips me. You can come to Kirkcaldy and piss on everything in testament to Adam Smith, though.

Well fuck Dundee then, (No offense Hamish, I got love for you), what about Aberdeen? and I'll remember that, he probably have a monument somewhere. "The government is in the wrong, and this is the chief cause of the persevering opposition of the Indians, who have nobly defended their country against our attempt to enforce a fraudulent treaty. The natives used every means to avoid a war, but were forced into it by the tyranny of our government." - Major Ethan Allen Hitchcock on the Second Seminole War. "Men should either be treated generously or destroyed, because they take revenge for slight injuries - for heavy ones they cannot." - Niccolò Machiavelli |

RE: Maybe taking Vacation to Scotland.
Younes, travel over to the West Midlands, there's Shakespeare's birthplace Warwick(shire) and Shrop(shire) and Hereford(shire) and Stafford(shire) and Worcester(shire) and Shire's progenitor... Shire(shire).
I'm sure you'll love Brummie vernacular. To love is to suffer. To avoid suffering, one must not love. But then one suffers from not loving. Therefore, to love is to suffer. Not to love is to suffer. To suffer is to suffer. To be happy is to love. To be happy, then, is to suffer, but suffering makes one unhappy. Therefore, to be unhappy one must love, or love to suffer, or suffer from too much happiness... I hope you're getting this down. |

RE: Maybe taking Vacation to Scotland.
Edinburgh is probably a good bet for tourist attractions etc. That's where your more stereotypical perceptions of Scotland are.
I will say, avoid Dundee. It's essentially a city where the inhabitants have just discovered fire. Been there a few times and couldn't wait to get out of the place - to get back to Glasgow; that's how bad it is lol. There's a few tourist attractions in Glasgow - which is pretty much the polar opposite of Edinburgh. I'd rather not delve into Glasgow as I'll just put you off If you're just passing through, it's probably not that bad, as opposed to living here. There's the football stadiums, Museums etc.If you're more for the countryside, you're best heading more up north to Inverness, Kirkcaldy etc. You've got the views, landscapes etc up there - couldn't really say much else about it as it's not my kind of place. Anyway, why Scotland man? |

RE: Maybe taking Vacation to Scotland.
@Kian Isn't that in England?
@ @GarryG Thanks for the advice man, Well it's mostly because my mother has a fondness of beautiful landscapes and history through what remains of it, such as castles and so on, So I guess that's the main reason for it.
