well i can't really say our styles are very very similar especially the ancient techniques well i can this tony jaa from thai surin which use to belong to cambodi aand taken by thailand. We still to this day call it Khmer surin and the people that lives there considered their selves Khmer, tony jaa is from some tribe i think it's called the goy tribe i'm not sure the tribe was a sub Khmer family which protected the elephants back in the Khmer empire. I hear he was a practitioner of Kun khmer but i'm not really sure i seen videos of his master but he teaches muay boran but i talked to some of the Kun Khmer masters and they all agree that tony jaa was busting Khmer techniques in the movie just like the hanuman moves that tony did in the moive. um i think this video would explain to better it has more than 1 part check it out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U9KG5jKWolI
