It's great to see Lowkey making a connection with Latin America and being out there to experience life in Venezuela first-hand. I've been following his Twitter updates, and I hear he's recorded a 'documentary' in Venezuela. I can't wait for that footage to be released.

Rapper from England. A bunch of his music is kinda centered around the stuff he's talking about in the interview.

lol, the part where he spits the rhymes, so bad. Out of sync, out of tune, lol, but that's crazy that they got him on.

But that's sick though, I wouldn't expect any news stations in Venezuela to give him time of day, I guess TeleSUR isn't privately owned?

Chavez's initiative to counter mainstream media, give a voice to the global south. Though I don't really know if he actually came up with the idea or what, it's just presented that way. Don't know much about it, but it's probably gonna be something like the RT of Latin America. That's how I see it.

Yeah, it's one of the few news stations that isn't privately owned. And it's also one in which is state-owned. I know that may sound like a weird answer, but in Venezuela, the socialist-based media consists between the state-owned media and the commune-run media, which is an increasing grass-roots project that Chavez called for Venezuelans to start to counter against the privately-run bourgeois media.
