RE: Liar & a Thief (Reviews)
Obviously, for those wanting a party or a good time, you'll need to steer clear, but if you're down with rhymes of integrity, from the heart, with a refreshingly undiluted 90 proof swig, then Liar & Thief should be your poison of choice.

couldn't of said it better myself

RE: Liar & a Thief (Reviews)
here's a google translation:

"Long you had to wait for this debut - the longest the time must be the reason for Diabolic been. Hereby he takes the final step on the way to the hip-hop scene. For his previous career reads like a great casual: from the tape library's brother, to fight, Ciphers in canteens to adjust the culture proceeded by default, and later, however, he has his bread to earn with drug dealer, has no time for studio Sessions contest and only here and there a Battle. But after almost accidentally ends up on Immortal Technique's first album and see what hype building up to Tech, he decides to go down as a serious hip-hop career. So, how long it should take the time yet to "Liar & A Thief," he probably did not expect.

But better late than never, and there Diabolic probably has some unpaid bills lying around, one can only hope that he will move with the quality audience in a purchase. With the label's choice (Viper) he could have certainly taken worse. With a few well-chosen guests missing is the manufacturing component. This helps him a further chance, the acquaintance with engineer from Vancouver, which takes almost the entire LP in hand. How many expect, then? For, although Diabolic is a poor representative of his species not in any way outstanding, he is no more. With uncompromising reporting and political diatribes against corporate America then he must be forced to like the comparison with the masters of their trade, IT, (in which he is subject to clear), the Battle-Rap-factor, the Diabolic accompanied his character yet, in turn, is difficult conventionally, though first grade. Engineer that ascends from the instrumental heavy artillery, was predictable and the uncertainty of his ruling clears recommend prevention consistency of Canadians with a solid foundation, but where no great deeds outgrown. The sample landscape looks familiar, here and there would have Engineer also a bit rude to go to work. But you live with what you have, and that is a coherent, entertaining album, running in the aggressive rhymes of dramatic samples. The opener is already a very representative picture "Stand By" calling aggressive strings and a chorus charged according to the plan. That Diabolic in the policy part of his record never into doing down, is it a great pity - only "Order & Chaos twines" are illegal CIA machinations (and tells the story of a boy who makes the Agency career) and weaves his guest Ill Bill also strong in the context. is framed "12 Shots issued a" Storytelling in fields and describes a bar visit, the change of the said twelve shots - while each of brandy round its name -. "Behind Bars moan" about the unfair world, and "Frontlines" is exactly the right track for Technique to pack his messages with a standard ("national security's a code word for cover-up") wait on. The fact that Vinnie Paz in his feature with anger is also of the party, and certainly not surprised - his appearance in the moderate "Not Again" throws with him for more and more becoming the norm, boring Battle Rhymes around. Canibus clear, however, may be referred to as appreciation. Also presented is the long promised "Riot" with Deadly Hunta and Limp Bizkit's John Otto on drums - so really gripping the shallow state is then no criticism, however, as well tear (or especially) the guests anything. Real Banger are extremely rare, one, however, is found in "Soldier's Logic", in the Engineer's somber string-gathering in the background rages and Diabolic full power front of his mic draws: "Soldier's logic, capture the essence and hold it hostage / Like passangers, controlling cockpits with loaded glock clips. "

Diabolic served exactly the album that is expected of him. For some, it is perhaps a little worse than they expected. For the great moments are not on the agenda. Engineer is undoubtedly an accomplished producer, but can if possible to guarantee that almost any listener will be familiar with some of the samples and otherwise lacking in some parts of the pep should consider Diabolic it into consideration, the next project to other beat-hobbyist to share. Content must be put to Diabolic not expect too much, then you will also fully serviced - for his fiery Battle Rhymes rich even for a few more albums. "Liar & A Thief" in any case is just good."

I downloaded the Foul Play Mixtape and the Liar and a Thief EP about a year ago and he gets repetitive at times. Also his choice of beats isn't exactly the best. Mostly though its what he says. It gets really boring at times. I will get the album to make final judgement, but going on from his old work, I shouldn't expect much.

RE: Liar & a Thief (Reviews)
yeah im pretty shocked too about the negative critics cause to me its on a bar with tech's albums but thats the way it is. otherwise they would live with millions of dollars and drake would try to sell his few thousand copies now... same with melatonin magik, i thought it was an outstanding album but every critic was like... yeah he doesnt shine like the rap talent in the nineties no more and so on.. fuck it. as long as i can enjoy it i dont give a fuck

RE: Liar & a Thief (Reviews)
wtf is up with the negative criticism? this shit was off the hook. great album. i been listening to it over & over & it aint got repetitive to me yet. & what is that one review talking about he sounds like a child rapping next to vinnie, tech & canibus all about?!?! they fucking wrong. shit the ones with canibus, tech & vinnie were dope as hell. sure those are some giants in the underground but fuck i thought he held his ground just fine. the In Common one with canibus got better when bolic hit the beat in my opinion. fuck critics. they don't know what the fuck they be saying specially when they got them corporate cocks in their mouths.
