Lebanon fires at intruding Israeli jets

The Lebanese army says its anti-aircraft artillery has opened fire at two Israeli warplanes, which had violated the country's airspace.

during the second lebaneses war the leboneses goverment did not protect their people.the war was fought between hezbollahand isreal(the reason being that isreal wanted to remove rockets ect from hezbollah possetion).hezbollah largley funded the rebuilding of the devestated area after the conflict and gave people compensation for loss of property.during the war it was also hezbuola that provided most medical releif in affected area. the lebonesse goverment did not do enougth wich is why they are now showing isreal that they are united with hezbollah in the defence of lebanon and will react if attacked. both hezbollah and the lebnesse army have significantly increased their military capabilitys since the last war.the lebonesse army aquiring advanced air defence systems and jets for the purpose of 'defending their territory against isreali agresion' from russia.lebanon has also recently signed defencive agrements with syria ,wich in turn has similar agreements with iran.
The isreali jets were in lebonese air space to test the lebenese militarys response and capabilitys.just like the do to stria. the u.n has told them to stop this many times.
this is a very volitile situation which if full war broke out between said countrys would not only be devestating for the people of lebanon,isreal,syria and iran but have effects that reach every corner of the world.
somthing like 70%(not shure how accurate that is )of the worlds crude oil passes through the persian gulf (irainian gulf) and iran has stated that this shipping route will be militarly shut down in the event of war.
This would cause the price of oil and petrol at the pump to sky rocket and cripple the worlds economy.
i.e you cant aford petrol you cant drive to work. trucks delevering food wont be able to get food to the supermarkets .its estimated that citys have something like 4 weeks supplys of food in them at any one time cos everything is fresh and constantly being consumbed. and how long would 4 weeks worth of food last when people are panic bying? war in the m.e is bad for everybody.

I'm glad they are standing up to Israel, but they have to realise that war is hopeless.

If Lebanon were ever to start getting significant victories then Israel would just start nuking the shit out of them - and that isn't even mentioning if the US starts getting involved.

Good show of intention, but not neccessarily the smartest move to agitate a monster.

I think that they shoot at the planes, to send them a warning, because i dontt think that Lebanon is interested in an escalation of the conflict.

Maybe next time they will hit the airkrafts. who knows.

The Lebanese army has beefed up defenses along the country's southern border, launching a military exercise against a backdrop of Israel's ongoing war games.

Lebanon deployed its 11th infantry brigade along the western sector in the south, media reports quoted the country's al-Manar TV network as saying on Wednesday.

dont think Lebanon wants to start a war or that it will start it . this is a simply a message that they wont put up with being bullied. its best that M-israel let them be.
