Hello,
I'm probably not the kind of guy you would expect here, but eh...
I'm a french teenager living in london (I've been there for 2 years more or less...). I haven't been listening to Immortal Technique or hip-hop/rap music for a long time. I mainly listen to heavy metal music, but I don't care about those rap/metal "war" I used to see a lot on the internet cause I just listen to all kind of music I possibly can : metal, hip hop,prog rock, rock'n'roll, electro, (free) jazz, ethio-jazz, dubstep, classical music, reggae, punk, afrobeat... I just love music.
I've discover Immortal Technique with a song he did with french rapper Rockin' Squat, "Démocratie Fasciste Article 4". I kinda re-discover hip hop music with Rockin' Squat and the band he came from, Assassin, this year. I knew some rap/hip hop before, but I disliked most of it - mainstream french rap usually is shit, in my opinion...
Anyway, I'm really into Immortal Technique's music recently, but I'm just begining to listen to this artist, so I hope I'll learn more from him/his songs etc... here and maybe bout hip hop music too.
I dunno if I have anything to add, feel free to ask if so. I might sometimes do really stupid english mistakes too, sorry bout that and just let me know.

By the way I've seen you've got sort of a "conspiracy" forum here, can be interesting, I've read/here so much shit and so few stuff I believe in related to it... can be interesting to talk about that too... I'm really interested in politic stuff and such, been talking (or chatting on the net, rather) with both "standard" politicaly engaged people and more extreme ones (from the RAC listening nazi boy to the far-left activist) so I guess I'm kinda open minded - but I'm not racist, nazi, communist or anything. So well, if there's some politic discussion there I'll probably learn more than I thought.

I'm still kinda new myself (really started to be active in February) and I can guarantee:
You'll learn man, I've been reading and learning more on this site then I did in the last few years on high school! Plus, peeps here post interesting footage about all kinds of variating subjects! And I understand your point of view not taking sides and being totally critical watching both sides and just investigating different political statements. Stay critical man, and of course some shit is just pure shitty conspiracy crap. But other stuff is considerable, and even other other stuff.. is basically the truth that the 4th branch hides for you on TV.

And don't worry I'm also just a 17 year old teenager with ideals who is also into heavy metal
