Hello and Goodbye <3

I have been trying to think of what to write to you guys for three days now, and have finally come to a conclusion. I hope that many of you here feel the same and, if not, can shed some light on my shaded path that I fight daily to overcome. Please, do not take offense, for I do not view myself as a "religious fanatic" (or religious at all) I Do not wish to label myself, I am how I act and treat others, I am how I wish others would be towards me, and I am living just as is. I want to help fight against this pain that is engulfing everyone and I am hoping this site will give me a start on how to begin.

What if this is true? We do lust for things we shouldn’t, but inside we want to be good people. We want to progress and be strong, loving people. But on the outside, we show our hatred, our pain, and our insecurities. On the outside we want to be touched, to fill ourselves with lots of good things that are usually bad for us. Some not even bad we just obsess and consume too much of it. This body we have wants to shut down, wants to become lazy, wants to do many things that we ourselves know are against our beliefs inside. As we fight against ourselves we are told to “embrace” ourselves instead. But is this lustful, broken image what we really are? Are we really, deep inside, people who are “bipolar”, “bitches” or “rude” because that is “who we are?” I would like to have more faith in mankind and myself that that image society creates Is not me. I am not selfish and I am not someone who will step on someone else to get ahead. I want to be someone who loves, who is sympathetic, who will give out a hand to the fallen and forgotten despite what they have done. Whether or not this is true, I want to reflect what I believe on the outside. I want to show my heart on my sleeve, so I am not mistaken for something I am not. I want to help people embrace what they feel is right and not embrace the things they crave for because society says that objects and lusts are what make you who you are. I want to love everyone despite their actions, because it is through most of these hurtful actions that show pain. I will and forever keep in mind that anger, hatred, jealousy and sadness all come from the same home: pain. I wish to help people overcome that inner turmoil, I want people to realize that embracing the “you” is not the “you” that is shown on T.V. and by the idols of today. That is who they have chosen to be. We are the kind, loving, and sensitive people that we all must feel inside is right. We were all born children not knowing how to love or act. Some of us were taught the wrong way, so the mind is confusing the heart, but as adults we can now see that we cannot live to hurt one another, we cannot live to hate one another and we cannot live to be better than one another. We must live to cherish one another, to give thanks to one another, to learn from one another and to forgive one another. I am beginning to see the error in my past, and I wish to improve this. I used to follow this path as a child but lost it as the world became too heavy, now I am returning to this and I hope everyone else wants to do the same. <3

What up. Good to have you here. I can relate to the going back to how you were as a kid thing, became concious of that myself a few years back. It's funny, when I decided to "grow up", I realized that meant going back to my childhood views, ethics and attitudes. It's ironic, I guess, but it's made me understand that the best way to see the world is through the eyes of a child. Straight up.

Thank you for all the positive responses, I am frustrated everyday with the feeling of being alone in my thoughts. I want to help this world so much but still have so much to learn. I am trying to read the posts daily and gain some knowledge and insight on how to contribute to the idea of better living. Nothing will be perfect of course, but if we can help people learn how to love each other those above us may lose some power they have. ...or i dunno... I just want to help.
