Hasan Salaam on the N-word used by V-Nasty
Dude made me feel bad about using it :/
"The government is in the wrong, and this is the chief cause of the persevering opposition of the Indians, who have nobly defended their country against our attempt to enforce a fraudulent treaty. The natives used every means to avoid a war, but were forced into it by the tyranny of our government." - Major Ethan Allen Hitchcock on the Second Seminole War. Who knew "nigga" had such an impact, I thought it was just a word people weren't able to get past yet. I never thought Hasan would be one to preach the same rhetoric as the NAACP.

This is a huge blast against Djoser's perception of Hasan Salaam, one who he used to love and agree with, now has an opinion entirely different from Djoser's... what do? RE: Hasan Salaam on the N-word used by V-Nasty
I can't disagree with an MC I listen to, which I have done the same with Tech, KRS, and others?
I never agree with the "slave masters used this word" rhetoric since it's just hanging on to the negativity of the word. If the word was racist, change the meaning. Fag meant cigarettes and now it means homosexuals. Why must I limit myself to an oppressive past? That's a hindrance, not progress. You gonna stick to your idol or rationalize your opinion for youself? "Humans are the most individualistic species I know. If you have three humans in a room, there will be six opinions." ~ Samara

Robert De Niro can't do wrongs... RE: Hasan Salaam on the N-word used by V-Nasty
I am confused, when was nigga used oppressively?
lolNo but seriously it is funny when they say "nigga" was used oppressively by slave masters and so on but that was actually "nigger". People have to learn that nigga has become a different word with a different meaning among the young people of today, even though when white people use it it usually magically becomes the same word as "nigger". lol. Which white people have to get used to hahah Anyways he made some good points. But nobody is gonna stop using it. It's just gonna evolve like it has. Who knows what it will mean in 50 years or even how it will be used, shit may even change spelling slightly again lol.. #GOAT

While I understand that an increase amount of white people are being allowed to say it with the approval of their black peers, which is fine as long as they're okay with it. But seriously, with the amount of honor and trust the black community puts in their white friends, how many of them white people are going to stand with those of the black community and give that same amount of honor by standing on the frontlines and demand for their rightful reparations? Pft! Not many, not yet at least. "I want to make a promise to you - the reader. And I don't know if I can fulfill it tomorrow, or even the day after that. And it will be a voice made of ink and rage." -Paul Kemp, The Rum Diary ![]() |
