RE: El Mono's Trip To Kenya
Personally, after doing it myself, I dislike this sort of charity. I had to give an interview for my University about it and I expressed a sort of remorse.

I felt like a burden afterwards to be honest. if I didn't do enough, it felt more like a holiday. It strikes up self righteousness in some. I wanted to do more. Because really, I had no affect on their lives by going & that's wrong. That's why I worked with generous, generous Shakur to fund the library of the school & to buy pens/pencils. Sure it was good for cultural exchange and I'd recommend anyone to visit other nations to see what life is like outside your bubble.

Maybe I just disagree with how this charity was set up.
It was with a former student of my school, it's an independent charity not an organisation. You can create links between schools at any time, which is a great thing because you can ship books, pens, pencils, uniforms etc.

I see what your saying. You don't feel like you helped raise their standards of living and environment, right? I would like to go to a country and help people through farm projects, building, etc. but I have no idea where to start.

something is better than nothing. You cant expect a 360, but by doing little by little it can possibly lead to a 360

I've heard this from quite a few people, what were the other people there like?

RE: El Mono's Trip To Kenya
That looks interesting, but yeah its not exactly what I am looking for. I don't really want to have to join an organization to help people, but I don't see how else I can do it; unless I walk up in a poor neighborhod and just start farming and building shit.

I think you did good Mono. Fair play to you.

How I would have really really loved to have been in that class listening to you speak about spiritual beliefs.

RE: El Mono's Trip To Kenya
Mono is the greatest moral crusader known to wo-man

To love is to suffer.
To avoid suffering, one must not love.
But then one suffers from not loving.
Therefore, to love is to suffer.
Not to love is to suffer.
To suffer is to suffer.
To be happy is to love.
To be happy, then, is to suffer, but suffering makes one unhappy.
Therefore, to be unhappy one must love,
or love to suffer, or suffer from too much happiness...
I hope you're getting this down.
