RE: What path are you on?
LOL, someone just got a revolutionary hard-on. Believe what you wish. But I'm Puerto Rican, meat definitely does nt make me squemish. It is a moral choice that I choose to participate in, and I am not asking the great Laz or anyone else for approval or adoption of my ideal. Accept it and move on.

RE: What path are you on?
Hey Yeal I think for the first time we agree on something. I was vegan for 5 years & it went fairly well. I actually did some damage control on my anemia. which is odd. & had the most beautiful skin ever. Now that I am eating chicken--only, I'm breaking out, gaining weight, my hair is a lot less healthy. I truly saw a difference in lifestlye.
It's great, but it takes alot of commitment & will.
I'm not going to lie. My sole reason was to do it for the animals. I could never eat my dog, so how was any other animal different. <--- that was my argument
But after more and more research I found regardless of my dietary choice, the rest of my lifestyle completely exploits animals. Like someone else has mentioned on this thread, just because a company says they dont test on animals doesn't mean there by products don't.
& loved chicken. So I gave up because I would always feel like a hypocrite. I'd always be a hypocrite. Now I just eat chicken, I tried eating other meat but my body just doesnt "agree" with it.
Best of luck though.

My brother was a raw vegan & he actually spent a lot less money on food & he loved the food he made. Only problem is he lost muscle mass. So he gave it up.

RE: What path are you on?
Laz, why would you assume that? And why are you so angry? I have been relatively well mannered, except for a few insults, but you are having a heart attack over there. You know when Interclose arrogantly and ignorantly bashes religion? Thats exactly what you are doing.

RE: What path are you on?
Hey, guys. Did you know choosing to not eat meat somehow makes you middle class?!

Also, Laz, you're being ridiculous. If Yael doesn't wanna eat meat then stfu and let him live his life.

Laz, I am a non-certified psychologist. I immediately advise you to go roll up a blunt or fill up a bowl, go smoke it up & calm the fuck down.

RE: What path are you on?
You weren't this uppity with Vegan Marxist about it, Laz. You were riding his coattails since you joined. Why is it so different now with Yael? I'm usually not one to defend others so strongly, but the primary reason stated was "I don't see the point of killing an animal". Personally, I can sympathize, but admittedly, I don't care enough about animals(sorry animals) to make such a choice. If it moves, breathes, eats, and shits, it's edible.

In addition, you have a problem with the stereotypical vegans and vegatarians that develop some superiority complex. Many of these people care enough about animals that they even make the choice to exclude them from their diet. What's so wrong about that? It's done for a sincere reason. Some do it as a health choice. Some actually get sick at the idea of eating a dead animal, and etc. why castigate them for whatever reason? It's not as if it's "bad".

The same way you can't mourn for every animal, some people can't mourn for people that die. I know I don't. Shit happens. A child just died this second.

Considering your status, you're being a petty Bourgeois right now.

How the hell can you make so many assumptions about someone when you barely know yourself because you change your favorite movie, philosopher, drug, animal, plant, color, game, hobby, and artist every 5 seconds? You're actually ignorant of the vegetarian lifestyle and ignorant of what you're reading. The only person that mentioned veganism was yourself. There is a difference between that and vegetarianism.

And quit it with the name-calling. You're being uncouth.

Lastly, you're probably the most bourgie person here. With threads asking for clothes to help define your image. How "petite bourgeois". Fucking pathetic.

I matured. I'd do the same now. I think he's a great guy but our disagreements outnumber our agreements.

if it is squeamishness i'll leave them alone. we are all cowards in our own ways. just don't think you are morally superior for it.

my status?

veganism, vegetarianism, i see it as the same exact thing. what should i know about this? they waste money on food that is not more healthy nor is it more ethical.

we change our favorite movie many times. don't know how thats an attack. i like different philosophers as i know more about them. the rest of the list is untrue.
i asked for clothing suggestions because i know nothing about clothes. i'd be very surprised if i buy more than any of you.
