Did 6 million jewish people die in the Holocaust?

Well, I dont like to comment on such topics so Im not going to give my opinion, but in your opinion did 6 million die? Most refrences say 6 million did die but there are many highly educated scientists say that it was an amount far less than 6million. So Im not sure what to believe lol, what do you guys think? did 6 million jewish people die in the holocaust, or was the holocaust "The greatest lie ever told"? as stated in some books/refrences

In a personal note, I do believe that it was close to around 6 million, given that I see no motive behind why to make it seem any more larger or less larger than the actual statistic. Also given that the vast majority of scientists state the same, that it was close to 6 million. If this was a democratic vote, which I hope it was, then 6 million wins the debate.

Though, having said that, I really don't think it matters how many died. It's the fact that millions did die during those times, & it wasn't just Jews either. It was the Roma's (aka gypsies), homosexuals, trade unionists, the disabled, & even Communists.

I read in an unofficial article that in the jewish holy book 6 million would die before israel could create their own jewish-state, so maybe they just threw in numbers to get that number to 6 million, Again im not sure.

Never really did not know how many Jews were killed. It is possible that history has been falsified. History likes to be falsified. Overall, it is only in Poland, three million Jews were killed.

Not about denying the amount of people died.

The amount as it stands is 6 million, sure you can debate it, but you can't deny the disgusting acts. If 1 million, if 5 million, If 100,000. If 10 or 50, the hate behind it is what you should be concerned about, so that it never happens again. And that goes for any creed.
