RE: Class war
Unnecessary. Both the poor and the rich do stupid fucking shit, we just need to eliminate economic and political class so that Obama's or Cameron's mistakes and ignorance don't effect the rest of us. Most class war esque ideas always makes the rich look evil and vile, while the poor are innocent and abused. Many poor people would do the same shit in the rich's position, stupidity and evil is just as pertinent in both camps.

RE: Class war
Amassing wealth is detrimental to society. We should do it like the Trobrianders and capitulate and divide the wealth of anyone who is not redistributing the excess that they have. Nobody should be allowed to buy a yacht for millions.

RE: Class war
Totally agree, but that is not what class war is about though.

RE: Class war
Personally, I see the legitimacy of a class analysis of society. I've seen, particularly from Marxist leaning individuals (my past self included), this idea that it's the working class against the middle and upper. This in itself becomes classism and in a way embraces the class divide. In some ways it becomes about destroying people and not class barriers. It's also, in some manner, akin to Malcolm X's segregationalist views while he was in the NOI.
What Zubo was alluding to was It's the Greatest Working Class Rip-Off by Crass. The song is itself is actually about punks and skins. But as Crass were anarcho-punk and the Skinheads/Oi! movement centred around working class politics the song raises some points about classism. |

RE: Class war
No, they have ideas and parties, they just have no power to do anything whatsoever.
