I see some people posted to this and complained about how "Chomsky wasn't being nice" or "He isn't being respectful" and all this other shit. However, I gotta say, I can respect the shit out of this. Buckley was someone who Chomsky didn't really get along with, invited Chomsky to his show, treated him like shit, then told him he was gonna invite him back and never did, and was just an overall twat. So instead of hearing news of Buckley's death and pretending and sucking his dick about how great he was, he just says "Yea he was a twat". Its not like he is spitting on the mans grave or going OD, but god damnit if I can't appreciate the honesty here.

Again, another example of the "free press". Buckley would've received so much praise, respect and visibility if he didn't tow the party line? If he didn't present the bullshit excuses that are used to (superficially) substantiate the rhetoric of concentrated power? My fucking ass, there's a reason that people like Glenn Beck get TV shows and people like Galloway are barred from Canada.

lol, it's so funny when Chomsky calls people "commissars" and it just gets ignored. If we truly had freedom of expression, if there was any sort of neutrality in commentary, press and education, motherfuckers like this would be laughed at, understood as shills and mascots for concentrated power, for the elite within our societies. But since we're the "civilized" ones, since we're the ones who can do no wrong, he becomes celebrated as an icon, as a "moderate" or whatever the fuck. It's fucking insane when you hear him talk about the Contras and shit. If you can wrap your head around the bumbling to use bigger, more complicated words than the next man (and the incessant interrupting by Buckley to silence the facts) , this few minutes of shit talking perfectly sums up the positions of the real and fake. I love it how Buckley tries to act like he's smart when talking about imperialism after WWII without ever mentioning memo PPS23 and the well known plans to dominate the global market.

Fuck it, the whole debate is worth watching. If for nothing else than just to watch Buckley get fucking destroyed, and for having an understanding on why people don't sit down and debate with Chomsky face to face like that. They get fucking decimated.



On a side note, in the beginning when Buckley is introducing Chomsky, look at Chomsky's facial expression when he hears Buckley saying his credentials. Fucking classic.

It's fucked though, I hate shit like this. Where the guy keeps interrupting, side stepping the points being dropped, hopping that he can weasel his way out. There's another one, and Chomsky actually loses his cool a bit, lol, it's jokes. But it's fucked cause it's so obvious that motherfuckers don't wanna have a convo, they just looking for their chance to school the guy. They can't do it, so they keep switching the subject, asking different questions as soon as they realize that he's gonna destroy them on the one he just asked. Gonna look for that other one.
