Notice where I put "not good enough yet" next to him supporting a color revolution. Meaning, it's not a good enough reason to be locked up for. Which I then proceeded with him not paying his taxes.

Besides, you're basing your entire argument on one person, when we really have no idea if his imprisonment came from that of bureaucracy or not, like many became a victim to under Stalin's leadership (though not because of Stalin, but because of Ezhov!). You're ignoring everything the CPC's done for the working class and peasantry in China, and replace them with single events that really have little, if any relation to that of the larger point.

Also, your statements of China having a "human rights violation" record is only upheld by that of the Western imperialist nations, who they themselves are the ones with massive human rights violation records, not China. They attack China with claims of "violating human rights" whenever they lock up pro-capitalists and refuse to listen to private businesses by siding with striking workers.

As for your attack on China when it comes to the environment, is that why China's recognized for topping the global clean energy table:

Or the fact that one of NASA's top climate scientist, Dr. James Hansen, called China the "hope of the world" in combating climate change?

I mean, seriously, where here in the U.S. the govt. acts in the interests of private corporations, China acts in the interests of what's best for their people and the planet, despite private corporations in China wishing otherwise:

i hate to do this, but i side with vegan on this one

http://www.time.com/time/world/article/0...60,00.html

Quote:Over the weekend the crackdown expanded. Human-rights activists estimate that by Sunday evening about 80 people had been affected, forced to travel from their homes, put under house arrest or placed under some similar form of restrictions.

get that? 80 people arrested because of the "jasmine protests." Thats nothing compared to the 1,339,724,852 people living in china, a grain of sand within a grain of sand. and how could this protest be of any significance?

Quote:China sees large numbers of demonstrations each year set off by everything from forced evictions to pollution to nationalist fervor. The government employs a range of responses, sometimes allowing limited protests in hopes they will die down, as with rallies last year to protest Japan's detention of a Chinese fishing-boat captain in disputed waters.

note one of the mentioned protests, pollution is contradicted vegan's climate argument

RE: China Muzzles Protestors
i'll agree that the cpc has helped a lot. i'll agree that they are making huge strides and are certainly better than the u.s. but imo most of that came from mao, his predecessors just institutionized oppression, restricting speech, protest, and democracy.

and ai weiwei was just an example. in no way was he a victim of simple bureaucracy, considering his fame, the orders came from high up

Pollution is definitely a problem in China, especially with the country's massive population base. But what's granted China such honor when it comes to climate change combat is their direct willingness in trying to address climate change and making huge strides in achieving such, in comparison to almost literally every other country on the planet.

RE: China Muzzles Protestors
vegan doesn't trust the chinese people to exercise power for themselves, the bosses in the CPP can only be trusted

his whole ideology is that people must be moulded to his ideological fantasies, not that people should take power themselves
