RE: che guevara, hero or villan?
If nobody had done it in the first place I doubt many, if any, would be doing it now

You begin saving the world by saving one man at a time; all else is grandiose romanticism or politics.

What do you think of Ernesto Che Guevara?
I've taken a considerable amount of interest in Ernesto Che Guevara. It's actually through understanding what he fought against and for, I started researching what Immortal Technique rapped about and was absolutely consumed and I might even say, addicted to his music and messages. After reading his "The Motorcycle Diaries" and "Death of a Revolutionnary", I saw a man so pure and so good that I would never dare think of him as a murderer and oppressor. But then I came across a book called "Revealing the real Che Guevara and the useful idiots who Idolize him" by Humberto Fontava, and even though I haven't read the book yet but just skimmed through it a bit, I started realizing maybe there was a much darker side to this courageous and well-to-do human being that many of us overlooked. Without personally going into details just yet (leaving that to this thread debate), I'd like to know what do you guys think of him? I'm sure there are some people on this board that have extensive knowledge on the subject and I want to know the different opinions of the different people on this board.

P.S : I did see the other Che Guevara post but I'm looking of a more in depth perspective on the man he actually was.

Thanks!!

Humberto Fontava, my dude let me tell you this always question who the author is and you will understand more about them and why the decide to write about certain topics.
At the end of the day that book is Fox New's favorite book when it comes to talk about Che Guevara.
The right wing loves to twist facts and love to give opinions instead of facts.

Ernesto "Che" Guevara in my opinion is a paradox, the pure embodiment of good and evil. in other words more human than the world combined

a man you can be the best of friends with and a man you should fear everyday.

peace comrade,

RE: What do you think of Ernesto Che Guevara?
Diegoscp. Yes, I understand what you mean. Humberto Fontava and his family fled Cuba because of the oppressive regime and it is understandable why he resents Guevara. But nonetheless, he does show us facts. Ernesto Guevara claimed he hated materialistic goods but yet he wore a Rolex watch. He is a hero for the rebelious kids of our decade, but he himself prohibited that kind of behaviour. He murdered kids, women and men alike. You cannot deny these facts. That's why I am puzzled. That is why I want to know what people think. There is always ALWAYS two sides to a story and that is why I try to look at both sides and deduct from there.

Two sides to every story? not always ...sometimes there are more than 2 sides because people make up so much shit that is hard to believe anyone anymore.

RE: What do you think of Ernesto Che Guevara?
Rio-Lenardo - What do you mean it was never authorized???

DiegoScp - What I meant to say by two sided stories is just like in THE MOST DANGEROUS MAN IN AMERICA which talks about Daniel Ellsberg revealing the truth about Vietnam. The US was telling the world lies about the war and when the truth was revealed, people were shocked. Basically, bullshit can also spread by people that support Ernesto Che Guevara and so I believe knowing both sides to the story lets you reject what you think seems to make less sense and form your own opinion on the matter. It is not for no reason that many Cubans that still reside in Cuba DESPISE Guevara. See what Im saying? There is OFTEN 2 sides to the story.

I know ....nothing wrong with learning " 2 sides of the story", especially it comes in handy when you try to come up with your own conclusion and also debate with right-wingers.
