Band website, how to do it on the cheap?

Hey guys,

I would like to know if any of you had any past experience about creating & having a band website?

I am not a programmer and I do not want to learn how to code HTML just to create that one website.

Here are the things that we want:
- Our own .com domain
- Servers included, with unlimited transfer
- Unlimited content/songs
- Music player on the website
- Fans can contact us directly on the website

It would be nice if it had Facebook & Twitter integration too.

How much should I be looking to spend for a custom website from a professional webmaster (including the requested features above)? Many people told us between 1,500$ and 3,000$ is the average pricing nowadays, is that true!!!? Do you guys have any suggestions? Is Myspace still good?

Host - frihost.net - use this free host (it's been around since 7-8 years now, so yes, it is reliable)
The bandwidth/space they provide should be more than sufficient for your NEW website. As you progress, you can seek better hosts.
Music Player - find some scripts, plenty options out there. no need to pay a dime.

You can have a wordpress blog, so that you can have a logo on the top of your band name.
And you can easily create sections like contact us, our music, profile. You can download wordpress for free and install it on your hosting.

1500-3000$ spend it on Kony 2012, WOO HOO! KONY FUCKING 2012 BABY!

So yeah, don't spend more than 100$ on shit unless you really want a custom website. All that designing shouldn't cost you more than 100-200$.

I suppose your band isn't that famous, so stick to saving money for the future once you blow up. Then make up a custom website with slick designs and shit.

Edit: There are tools for facebook/twitter integration as well. They don't cost either. Don't let anyone deceive you into paying for free shit.

Navan91, I think I found something good in the 100$-200$ price range like you said.

I made some research and ended up on Bandmo (http://bandmo.com) a website generator designed especially for music artists & bands. It’s pretty cheap considering that it includes hosting + domain + everything else. I think it might just be more simple to deal with them instead of ordering every element I need from different companies.

The reviews I found are looking pretty good, I am going to try it now and let you know what happens...

I chose to do it with http://Bandmo.com - It's 100 % worth the price IMO. Took me about 1 hour to do everything.
