Art fraud
There is some so called artist out their who makes art from dead animals in tanks of formaldhyde and stuff.

From what i read his last offering he shit out was a dead horse with a horn cellotaped or something to its head, i sold for millions , an anon buyer.

theory i came up with was that the buyer is fraud and needs to launder his dirty money
he would supposedly pay millions to the artist and then have 90% or so of the money back.

maybe its a crack pot theory, but so is buying something like a dead horse for art.

RE: Art fraud
Name of artist? Sounds cool, there are rich ass art collectors in every niche so I seriously doubt the dudes laundering cash. Major drug dealers use corporations and other businesses to launder their earnings, why would they need a taxidermist?

RE: Art fraud
huh i dunno? i just think that esp the dead horse in a box and a dead shark in a box is nt art, n even if u say its art its not worth millions LOL

I honestly dont think people who have so much money to waste, would be so stupid to go and waste it on buying something like this.

RE: Art fraud
But who are you to define what is and what isn't art? Isn't that the beauty of it; that it can't be defined?

If this isnt art then Andy Warhol definitely isn't art either.

RE: Art fraud
You are right in what u say, i wont deny that perhaps in his time, he has some things that can be called creative.

I just dont think a dead animal is art

oh he artistically put it in a glass box he artistacally poured in the formaldahyde , he stuck in the horn in its head artistcally.

Manipulation of something else ....

imo more hard to sculpt one from solid stone or something

And someone buying it for so many millions, i see only an off the rails britney buying someting like that or a money laundering scam.

never heard of him, but imo real art is something that is created, not manipulated, although all art can be viewed as this as such, i just think hmm levels of manipulation and creation .
Like i suppose i could say that drawing a real life like portrait is manipulation of the pencil and paper, creating something hard to do.

I just dont see the level of creation in a dead animal

RE: Art fraud
The people who spend millions on a single piece of art are so incredibly rich though, its equivalent to you buying a $50-$100 art print.

I agree it is rertarded that we allow people to build up such incredible wealth, but regaredless of how overpriced this shit is I still think its pretty cool stuff. Its no where near the level of skill that sculpting or painting requires, but if someone finds beauty it, then it is authentic.

I'd much rather see these pieces sell for millions, but they never will:
