Ahmadi's/Qadiyani's - What do you know and what do you think?
I think no-one has created a thread about Ahmadi's. I'm really curious to know what people "know" or most probably only "think" of Ahmadi's. I hope muslims as well as non-muslims comment about what they know or think and also I have seen many people talk about Islam and I think it's time to talk about religion less mainstream and something people know less about so everyone can learn something out of it.

RE: Ahmadi's/Qadiyani's - What do you know and what do you think?
The Ahmadis are of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community founded by Mirza Ghulam Ahmad in 1889. Their motto/slogan is "Love For All, Hatred For None." The main thing which distinguishes them from the other Muslim Sects is that they believe the Messiah has already come in the form of Mirza Ghulam Ahmad, while other sects believe he is yet to come.
If you would like to know more you can go to http://www.alislam.org/ which is their official website and where there will be more information available. "Love For All, Hatred For None" |

They say that Ahmadi was the last Prophet, and the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) wasn't?

RE: Ahmadi's/Qadiyani's - What do you know and what do you think?
They believe that Ghulam Ahmed was their messiah, as far as I know, thought its also the mainthing that distinghuishes them from Muslim sects.
btw Username, you might aswell make a thread for Sects within Islam that diverts from mainstream fundamentals... Such as Ahmadi's, Alaween and so on... RE: Ahmadi's/Qadiyani's - What do you know and what do you think?
Correct, we believe that he was the Messiah of the age and the Reformer, as well as the second coming of Jesus. His advent was told of by the Holy Prophet peace be upon him. There were also many signs which showed that he indeed was the Messiah just as he claimed.

RE: Ahmadi's/Qadiyani's - What do you know and what do you think?
it's interesting to see that within religions themselves there are many sects and divisions.
so if one person or group of people from one sect of a religion bash another sect is it called sectophobia ?

RE: Ahmadi's/Qadiyani's - What do you know and what do you think?
There are different sects due to each of them having a different belief within Islam, Ahmadiyya being the 73rd sect.

I know that Mr Nice, but shouldn't Muslims decide between themselves, what their Religion foundations & Guidelines are before they go around proliferating it ?

RE: Ahmadi's/Qadiyani's - What do you know and what do you think?
in reply to sick from this thread
http://www.immortaltechnique.co.uk/Threa...0#pid73440 you would know it if you would've read it. why would you assume I haven't read it? Yes the Quran contains contains a scattering of 'scientific' statements, to impress us all, however much of the Science is claimed to have been stolen from where Islam was colonised, and much of it has porven to be Scientifically incorrect. Yes the Quran isn't 100% bad, if it was it would go into oblivion. For this reason, some good things are included in the Quran, so that Muslims continue to champion the the Quran and stop Islam from completely disappearing of the face of this Earth. The Quran has some general common sense and morals. However Morality, Ethics & Conciousness were concepts that have been around long before the Quran |

Otherwise no religion should go around proliferating right? Because Christianity/Judaism contains 72 sects, Hinduism believe in different Gods so its pretty obvious that don't go along either, same goes for Buddhism. I have to admit, my knowledge in religion is pretty limited, but i am reading books and doing my research when i can, so don't get me wrong, im just telling what i know. PS. I am an Ahmadi |

RE: Ahmadi's/Qadiyani's - What do you know and what do you think?
Islam got many many many sects, I dont think the number is known really since there have been sects that havent been recorded in history, sects that have died out or suffered from percecution by the different Caliphates... God knows how many sects there have been in Islam...

God knows how many sects there have been in Islam... Correction, the number is known and it is 73 sects, just as it was said in a Hadith (saying) of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him). He had said that there will be 73 sects, of which the 73rd sect will be the one which will be like him and his companions. The following is the Hadith where the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) said that there would be 73 sects: "Surely things will happen to my people as happened earlier to Israelites, they will resemble each other like one shoe in a pair resembles the other to the extent that if anyone among the Israelites has openly committed adultery to his mother there will be some who will do this in my Ummah as well, verily the Israelites were divided into 72 sections but my people will be divided into 73 sections, all of them will be in the fire except one." The companions asked, 'Who are they O Messenger of Allah,' Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "They are those who will be like me and my companions." For anyone who is interested, the following is a link to a video which talks about the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community being the 73rd sect in Islam. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=caPa4SKZqGI Also the names of the sects in Islam can be found here: http://www.alislam.org/library/73divisions/73-09.html (12-29-2010 04:52 PM)Introcluse Wrote: I know that Mr Nice, but shouldn't Muslims decide between themselves, what their Religion foundations & Guidelines are before they go around proliferating it ? Each sect within Islam has their own beliefs regarding what Islam is. If by proliferating you are talking about people converting to Islam, and the number of people increasing, then that is the person's own personal opinion. For example, by the grace of God, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community has spread to over approximately 195 countries due to their true faith. People choose to convert based on what they think is right. But if you are referring to the number of sects increasing, then that would be incorrect, as there are only 73 sects within Islam. "Love For All, Hatred For None" |
