A brief look into the near future!

And just so people may think everything except for the morphing chair seems based in reality for the near future, think again:

We're not talking 60 or 80 years from now, but 20-30 years from now! Our generation!

"I want to make a promise to you - the reader. And I don't know if I can fulfill it tomorrow, or even the day after that. But I put the bastards of this world on notice that I do not have their best interests at heart. I will try and speak for my reader. That is my promise. And it will be a voice made of ink and rage." -Paul Kemp, The Rum Diary

The upcoming Windows 8 will look like that, except for the whole see-through external base:

WOW! The brunette in that first video is gorgeous.

Anyways... That is fucking insane. That is just awesome, can't wait for them to accomplish it.

And Windows 8 looks beastly.

Also, if people were wondering what the hell's up with that woman's eye at the end, it's clearly just showing off the bionic eye that's being developed:

Here's a 2008 video on it:

And an article from last year going into the trials they're now pressing forward on the bionic eye:

Give it 5 or so more years and we'll begin seeing people walking in public with their brand new bionic eyes.

You don't need to wait for the future for curing the blind. We're there already Smiley

And stem cells are soon about to cure deafness too:

^If such treatments were used much more frequently by more countries, wouldn't soon make glasses(aside from stylish ones) useless and threaten eye doctors(such as less visits due to an actual cure being present)?

Sure, but more jobs will become available as we continue to expand science. Not to mention that eye doctors themselves will still be around to figure out what's wrong with said eyes in order to know what particular treatment is needed.
